Why did I choose this profession?: I am sure a large part of my choosing to be in the healthcare field was my life-long
exposure to patient care that was demonstrated by both of my parents. I am so blessed that I chose a
profession that I love. The nursing profession is such an honor to be a part of, you are given the ability to change lives
in very small ways and extra big ways. You are given the privilege of being part of so many people's lives; helping to
change them for better health and living or providing comfort and sympathy when human hands are no longer in control.
I love that I am able to interact with so many different people on a daily basis and so many times they have impacted my
life, as much or more than I have changed their life.

Why did I choose this profession?: I have worked for Dr. Holm at Holm Medical Clinic since 1987. I enjoy working with and taking care of
patients of all ages. I take special interest in the elderly, diabetes patients and in women's health. I have always
wanted to be in healthcare, my family tells me when I was little I always wanted to help take care of my brothers and
sisters when they were sick. As well as the farm animals. Now I have been blessed with a great education that allows me to do
that.

Hobbies/Interests: I have an interest in cultural diversity and I have traveled to Florence and Rome, Italy. I love
traveling now that I have completed my education. I enjoy teaching Nursing students and I attribute
my success to my parents who love and support me in all of my endeavors. Growing up, my parents
always said, "Education is the most important thing that can never be taken away for you and if you work
hard in life God will reward you with a good life"
In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends and spoil my niece Macy. I also enjoy
going to Notre Dame and Colts football games.
